Speaking Part 1
1 What kind of music do you like?
I prefer a range of music from Western to Eastern, and from the 90s to modern EDM. But if Korean pop is considered as a kind of music, then yeah, that’s my favourite. More than half of my playlists are Korean songs and I always keep myself updated with news related to Korean showbiz.
2 Did you often listen to music when you were a child?
Since my parents are music-lovers and also have very good tastes, I was exposed to music at a very young age. Sometimes my mom sang me to sleep with her lullabies. Although I could not get the message at that time, my mom said that I buoyed up when listening to them.
3 Do you think music will change in the near future?
As with all things, I believe music will continue to change in the future. Firstly, I believe it will rely on technology even more than now. I wonder if there will even be humans playing music then. I could imagine robots playing songs that are programmed into their brains. It’s tough to say!
4 Do you prefer to buy CDs or to download music from the internet?
To be honest, I don’t buy it either. But CDs are way cheaper than the digital downloading of the music. CDs have some pulses when compared to streamed music and they deliver uncompressed audios. Also with CDs, we can listen to music anywhere, anytime, with or without Wi-Fi.

Sample Answer
It was September, 2020, when I decided to celebrate my birthday amidst the long boring days of the global pandemic. It wasn’t a huge gathering but consisted only of family members and a few of my relatives.
I usually have no preferences when it comes to parties as such. But if it’s my birthday, I want to celebrate it with my dearest ones, be it my friends or family.
I have this celebration every year, but I could sense that this year was different from all the other ones. This celebration was the only escape from the boring, dull life of ours in the pandemic.
If I am honest, I had no clue whether they had arranged a celebration at all. They surprised me with a cake, and then one after the other followed. I was gifted a wristwatch by my parents and headphones by my cousins. The relatives have been at my home since last night. My cousins and I pulled an all nighter. We were on a movie marathon with occasional chit-chatting. They decorated the entire room. The cake was placed right at the centre, and it was fun to celebrate it with all my family members after a long time. Also, this was the first time I was celebrating my birthday in my hometown. And I felt really good about it. I felt special seeing the effort my family had put in. It was just to make me feel better, and I would say they did succeed in it. The day was exciting, and I would want to relive it again. After the day of fun, I was writing it down in my journal, and I was smiling from chin to chin. I was very happy..

There are different types of cultures across the world. They celebrate different events and festivals. Each year there are tons of festivals held around the world, and these include New year’s eve, Christmas Dinner, Halloween, Holi, Carnival of Venice, Rio Carnival, Diwali, Yi Peng Festival, Lantern Festival, Eid-al-Fitr, Oktoberfest, La Tomatina, to name a few
2 Do people in your country celebrate foreign festivals?
Yes, we do celebrate a of foreign festivals such as Christmas, Halloween, Easter day, Lantern Festival among others. Festivals are great occasions where we forget all the chaos of life and embrace good hopes. It is a time to reward all the hard work done in the past. These festivals keep us connected to our roots, cultures, values, and origin. Festivals uplift our moods and fill our hearts with positive energy.
